Just bought this device - had a spare 8Tb drive that it decided “Does not meet creation requirements”.
Ordered a new 8Tb IronWolf ST8000VN004 as it was on list and available.
Installed drive and it got stuck on 79% creation - lots of 3 beeps. Powered down (it wouldn’t shut down).
On restarting this drive is now classed “Serious” and now “Does not meet …”
What has happened and what can I do about it?

Since you haven’t gotten any data on the drive, try plugging it in to a PC and deleting all partitions and start over. Not sure what’s going on there, seems very odd.
Try Ugreen’s support otherwise, since this isn’t an official support forum.
My windows system can’t see it now. Looks fried!
That might be because it’s formatted for a Linux system, try MiniTool Partition Wizard, it should be able to deal with that and is free.
Hard drives don’t normally die that easily.
