I have a 2800. I want to have a master shared folder that i will share with 2 laptops. i’ll use the laptops interchangeably and want to keep them synced. i read that Syncthing is better than the Ugreen Sync and Backup App. I installed docker and the Syncthing app. At this point i’m just trying to get one laptop and the the 2800 shared folder to sync and I can’t. In Syncthing i can add the devices to each other. I can set up the shared folder on the laptop. However I’ve spent 2 days trying to set up the shared folder on the NAS? when i enter the path of the nas shared folder i get I get a permission error that I can’t seem to fix. Should I be able to set up the 2800 shared folder in my user Personal Folder?? I’ve spent 2 days with chatgpt trying all sorts of things and nothing seems to work? I find it hard to believe this is that hard and complicated. I can’t seem to find any specific help on the net. I seem to have spent endless time with permissions, ownership etc and again nothing works. I really don’t know what to do and would appreciate any help.
if the shared folder is inside the (personal folder) you have to map it like this as example :
- “/volume1/@home/YOURUSERNAME/DownloadSync:/data/DownloadSync”
for me the only way it works , I must use @ with (home) folder as it is the absolute storage path to personal folder
woked for me : android mobile+pc+nas
all sync togather
ALSO : Use quotes for ALL paths to prevent errors with spaces
