I’ve had my two 8800’s since November and setup sync between the two devices. It had been working fine since then and would instantly copy over all of the new Data from NAS5 to NAS2 (Weird numbering I know).
I hadn’t logged into either of them in a while so the other night I did to check things out and they both had a firmware update, which I installed. And when I logged back in to both of them the Sync and Backup app had an update as well so I updated it on both 8800s.
After this was all done I noticed that the Sync was no longer working. Since then I have tried to reboot the devices, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sync app. I have created and deleted the sync task so many times now but it seems to be stuck on ‘Preparing to Sync’ and won’t go any farther. It’s been stuck on this for over 13 hours now
I have tried it both ways from NAS 2 to NAS 5 and vice versa.
Any thoughts would be greatly helpful.
The other issues I did see with this firmware update is that SMB needed to be turned off and back on so I could get my mapped drives back - this is fixed anyway.
