Ugreen DXP2800 Backup & Sync or 3rd party software

Hi and thanks for your help.

I received my DXP2800 yesterday and learned a lot since then. I had a WD My Bokk Live Duo which crashed.

RAID1 with 2 x 4TB drives

I setup a one direction mirror backup when noticing changes on my computer.

I cannot really figure out how it works. I used Syncback Pro with my previous NAS. I had the same setup with this but also ran a scheduled sync at 01:00 in the morning every day.

Is this possible with UGREEN’s Backup & Sync App? I tried to use Syncback Pro but it doesn’t pickup my NAS. Do I need to make some changes? With my previous NAS I could access the drive through the IP-address or by mapping the drive? I could then see the folders on the drive, add folders and so on.

I looked around on the internet but couldn’t really find any tutorials on how to properly use Ugreen’s Backup & Sync.

I will appreciate some pointers, please. Thanks.

Nice job setting up RAID 1 that’s a solid start for data protection.

Regarding Backup & Sync, the built-in tool is very basic- only file level backup and no scheduled backups (though the “backup on file change” feature could work like continous data protection )

Most users set up Nextcloud for file synchronization and URBackup for image-level or full-system backups. Good thing is that they have full docker support so setting any other app is very easy.
