USB Attached drive

I have a 3 tb usb drive attached to my DXP 2800 and is there away to have it as a mapped drive on my PC which is on the same network as NAS.

Interesting, there doesn’t seem to be such an option at the moment.

However, Ugreen is apparently planning support for “Hard Drive Enclosure Integration” which suggests that along that, support for adding external storage devices as a shared folder will be coming. Right now it seems USB drives are only really useful as a backup destination.

You can indeed do this but with some technical tricks.
I mounted my usb-drive into a folder that is a shared folder. Then a shared folder can be mounted on a PC. But you will need to make linux re-mount the usb drive every time after reboot. I do not know linux or CLI commands, I configured that with help of chatGPT. It works.

Note: ask chatGPT to mitigate risk of linux boot failure. the usb-mount should not be listed in system-critical mounts list. chatGPT will know what it means.

i dont know if I misunderstood you !!
but

I can mount usb A drive also nvme drive all of them attached to the NAS as external storage
