I have a Sabrent EC-DFLT single HDD enclosure, but it fails to recognize the drive with an 8T drive in it. I think it is a known limitation of the Sabrent in that Windows can work around the large size but Linux evidently can’t. What brand of USB hard drive enclosure has been found to work with a DXP2800 Plus? Thanks,
How did you format the drive?
Does it mount under Storage, External storage?
I haven’t had any issues with the drives I have.
It was formatted, in the had enclosure that i am using, on my PC. That is where I put the files on the drive. Then I unplugged the enclosure from the PC and moved it over to the NAS. So everything works on the PC but won’t mount under the external storage area for the NAS.
What brand enclosure are you using?
Yes, but it’s it NTFS, FAT32, exFAT or?
It’s a standard external WD drive that I use for my backups. I’ve tried a few flash drives as well, that work fine.
Enable SSH on the NAS, connect via SSH and type lsusb to see if the enclosure is detected by the OS or not.
